Ask about your actual treatment before you leave

Aftercare should reflect what you received. Tell the clinic if your appointment included another procedure as well as Thermage; instructions for a combined visit may differ. Ask for instructions in a language you understand, including which contact to use if something worries you after returning to your accommodation.

Do you need a special skincare package?

The manufacturer describes no special routine aftercare for Thermage alone beyond basic skin maintenance and broad-spectrum sunscreen. This is not a reason to ignore individual clinic instructions. Ask whether any suggested product is essential, optional or intended for a separate procedure. Buying a package should not replace understanding the advice.

Check your existing routine

Bring or list the products you already use and ask the clinician when to continue them. Mention prescription products, exfoliants and anything that has irritated your skin. Do not stop a prescribed treatment or add several new products based only on a general article. Ask for a simple written routine you can follow during your trip.

Know which reactions need a call

The manufacturer lists redness and swelling among possible reactions and describes less common complications, including burns and sensation changes. Ask your clinician what is expected for you, how long it may last and what should prompt urgent assessment. Do not wait for a booking coordinator if you need urgent medical care.

Plan the handover before travelling home

Save the treating clinic’s name, branch and contact details together with the instructions. Ask how to request a review if needed, including after leaving Korea. GREY can help relay follow-up questions to the treating clinic, but clinical assessment and treatment advice remain the clinic’s responsibility.

A short departure checklist

Before leaving, confirm what treatment was performed, how to care for the area, whom to contact and whether any follow-up is planned. Ask the clinician about your planned flight, exercise or important event rather than relying on a universal waiting period. Keep these answers with your appointment details so you do not have to reconstruct them later.

Confirm the follow-up arrangements before booking

Tell us your planned visit and departure dates. GREY can ask the partner clinic about appointment and follow-up arrangements; clinical advice comes from the clinic.

Free GREY enquiry and booking support. No obligation to book. Any clinic deposit conditions are confirmed before you decide.
